I'm in Argentina safe and sound. I can't say that it was an easy trip the plane from Dallas to Buenos Aires was very long and kind of cramped. But i made it. Yesterday I meet my host family. They are very kind and pleasant, but it is hard conversing with them. My spanish is not as good as i had thought. LOL. I know that my skills with the language will improve as my time here continues. While it was hard to converse with my family, it was made easier by showing pictures and talking about family. Family is very important here, so they enjoyed seeing pictures and stories about my family. This place is definitely different from what i am used to but i think over all this is going to be very good for me. At least i hope so. I've been writing in my journal last night i concluded that jumping into this that i knew it was sink or swim. Right now the language is a weight causing me to sink, however my friends here as well as my host family (despite the language barrier) are helping me alot, this along with the support i know i have at home are a life vest keeping me afloat until i can learn to swim in this different environment.
I wish everyone at home the best and thank them for their love and support. Take care.
